This Red Tyrolean ToniDoll Dress is copied from a classic Toni doll dress. Little girls of this era wore twirly dresses with petticoats and puffed sleeves too. The dress closes in the back with two or three snaps. Don’t forget to order her panties as well as shoes and socks.

Manufactured from 1949-1956, Ideal Toni dolls first introduced in 1949, and later the Toni Walkers introduced in 1954 became much sought after. Her main feature was her nylon hair by Dupont that little girls could perm with a home permanent (sugar water). She came in five sizes, but the largest size of 22 1/2″ is especially rare. Toni dresses came in a wide variety, ranging from bridal gowns to school dresses. Many of her dresses were made of nylon, polished cotton, or waffle cotton, illustrated by this doll reference for the Toni dolls https://dollreference.com/ideal_toni_doll1949.html.
