Lavender Patsy Play Dress&Hat
This Effanbee Lavender Patsy Play Dress&Hat is adapted from a 1933 pattern for Patsy Lou. The pattern was a giveaway by McCall Co. as a promotion. The Effanbee dress and cloche hat are available in several sizes for your Effanbee Patsy family dolls. They are likely to fit other similar dolls of the era also. The 100% cotton fabrics used for these dresses are reproduced from a 30s classic print. The dress closes in the back with two buttons, and the cloche hat is trimmed with a self-fabric ruffled rose. The smallest sizes may have square snaps rather than buttons in the back. The dress bodice and the cloche hat are lined too.
Don’t forget the shoes, socks, as well as combination underwear to complete this outfit and make this little dress stand out. There are also several shoe styles available for your Patsy family dolls.
The Patsy Joan doll came in two different sizes. In the 1930s Patsy Joan’s hair was styled in a short bob just like the other Patsy family dolls and she was 16 inches tall. In 1946 Patsy Joan, issued as a 17-inch doll, has molded curly hair and is marked Effandbee on her back. Dresses and hats are available in both sizes.
